Creating the Stories that Happen…

“I hope you will go out and let stories happen to you, and that you will work them, water them with your blood and tears and your laughter till they bloom, till you yourself burst into bloom.”
– Clarissa Pinkola Estés

True and true!  I make art to find the clues that become the stories that happen to me…

I create them, paint them, collage and alter images that speak to me in whispers, reminding me of my deepest needs and desires. I ask my art, “reveal yourself to me like threads unwound from the source…” and I breath life into what I recognize is true, precious and valued. Even when I see myself in the shadowed places.

Are you willing to dance back into your life – renewed with vitality and trust? It took me years of practicing to trust that I could. But the making, the creating – actually anchoring myself in the unraveling, defining the process and loving the journey – those are the things helped me to find my way home to myself…
Now I know that I can create the path, as I seek and find what is next. Discover the stories that wait for you to notice them. They are yours. Live them in any way that you are willing…and let them go when it is time.

Trust the images, words and your created moments, as they unfold, to show you what is important. They are the clues that reflect what is and what is to be…
